UNESCO World Heritage: Dolomites
The Dolomites have been declared by the 2009 UNESCO Council as World Natural Heritage. The reason:
"The Dolomites are unique from a geological, botanical and scenic view and compare now with no other mountains in the world."
That's why
the Dolomites must be protected for posterity. Everyone should be able to draw strength from these unique mountains, generation by generation.
Our Connoisseur Obereggen Sonnalp proudly lies at the Rose Garden and the Latemar 's feet, and, by reflect, belongs to the World Heritage Site. Both mountains are part of the Park Sciliar-Rose Garden.
The park covers 6,769 hectares and is formed by the Seiser Alm, the Schlern with its peaks, Euringer Santner, the mountain forests around Seis and the Vols with the Rose Garden.
All this gives birth to an astonishing place, unique in its genre and with no comparison all over the world.
